what can i say about On the Jellicoe Road?
#1 it's one of the best books i've ever read
#2 it made me fall in love with books by Melina Marchetta
#3 it's the first contemporary book i've read in a long time
#4 it stirred my interest in reading more contemporary
i must admit though that the beginnung was confusing as hell. it was like being abandoned in a foreign country which language you don't know. all is strange and alien, but you can't turn away, you need to stay and admire the beauty of this country. that's what jellicoe road did to me. although confusing, i was mesmerized, captured, in love.
in love with the story, with the well developed characters. i laughed, i giggled, i cried, i was stunned and dismayed. god, this book was an emotional rollercoaster, but in a good way. in a very good way. in the best way :)
yeah, well, 'nuff said. in fact, there's only one word necessary to review this book...A W E S O M E
